Holly Creek Whisky Co.,Ltd is the registered whisky distillery in 2018, locates in Siem Reap City of Cambodia, officially licensed and recognized by Ministry of Commerce, Ministry Industry & Handicraft (ចបផ 33008/19), GS1 Cambodia and more importantly Holly Creek Whisky is proudly certificated by Industrial Laboratory Center of Cambodia, and Holly Creek Whisky is the registered trademark.

Made from the finest selection of imported European, American & Australian, oaks, wheat, malted Barley, local ingredients and corns while honoring independence and integrity, Holly Creek Whisky is the only premium straight, branded whisky locally distilled and bottled in Cambodia. The first finely whisky product we are producing is HOLLY CREEK WHISKY SILVER LABEL with 40% ALC/Vol 750ml, which flavors malt aroma, note of vanilla, fruits, dark chocolate, spice, smooth.

Holly Creek Whisky starts with imaginary reality of having mixed the modern technology of WHISKY refinement with the local source of holy water traditionally and scientifically appreciated from the Kulen Mount.

Our pride, passion and promise won’t allow us to take the easy road of buying bulk spirits, bottling them and selling them out of a storefront. Instead, we built this business from the ground up with the sole intention of providing high quality spirits to a market thirsty for Cambodian-made whisky.
We are the family business, we have solid structure and friendly teams as well as other departments. Meaning we are self-employed and we closely manage and work with our teams in the daily base.

Peter, the co-founder, his expertise is Whisky Distilling and manages the team to run whisky producing, processing and completing.

Kim, the Managing Director, a local businessman and the co-founder of Holly Creek Whisky and his skills are networking for both private and government sectors, and he manages entire company operation.

So, the two joined founders, Mr. KIM, the smart local entrepreneur born and grown up in Siem Reap and Mr. Peter, the professional Whisky man-craft from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, established the first Cambodian whisky distillery in Siem Reap.

They started whisky business since 2016, in Siem Reap Angkor, Cambodia. At the beginning, they found very hard time to adjust whiskey process with the weather conditions; however, with their great inspiration and the main ingredients as well as whiskey equipment and materials imported from Europe especially the yeast, they could finally set up whisky distillery process. Then, gradually grow from the interest of the quality, the bottle design and box cases and the good name of its.

Timeline

Mr. Pek Man or “Peter”, Cambodian, born in Thmor Koul, Battambang Province, Kingdom of Cambodia.
1981 – Lived in Kao I Dang Camp of Thailand, studied Khmer and English.
1982 – Studied medical and electrical profession.
1983 – 1985 Worked as nurse and studying at U.N.H.C.R Hospital in Kao I Dang Camp.
1985 – Lived in New Zealand and continued studying medical and worked full time at cushion material factory.
1990 – 2006 Got married and started to run bakery and café in Wellington, New Zealand.
2006 – Moved to Brisbane Queensland, Australia and continued to run bakery and café business.
2011 – Learned distilling and brewing, at the same time he practiced distilling with Zolton Marton (the master of distilling whisky) and brewing with Daniel Sheppard. This was when Peter’s deep passion was born and started to think a way to a distillery appear in Cambodia.
2016 – He decided to return his homeland and started distilling whisky with his
Cambodian partner. The exciting & difficult year began, importing the distilling equipment and main ngredients from Europe & America were done.
All was set up, the batch trail was ready and we invited whisky lovers to test the first Cambodian whisky flavor, shared his passion and whisky knowledge.
2018 – We’re fully licensed and Holly Creek Whisky Distillery was established. Then we’re delighted to release the first product “Silver Label” which is quite suitable for local customers & whisky lovers.
2019 – The first product “Silver Label” has gradually become reputable from mouth to mouth and thumbed up as the premier whisky quality in the heart of Siem Reap City, Cambodia. We extremely felt delightful that our dream has come true, the way we shared our whisky passion and knowledge with our customers and whisky lovers. All of these has driven us Who We Are & What We Do Everyday!
17-21 August 2020 – The first exhibition & festival called “Somrak Siem Reap” held in the public to celebrate the happy time of Khmer New Year that was postponed in April 2020 due to Covid-19 spread. Our first premier silver label whisky was launched to the public for “FREE TASTING”, both local and foreign visitors were very surprised to our Holly Creek Whisky and never thought how whisky was distilled in Cambodia! They smiled and said why Cambodians could produce this premier whisky comparing to imported worldwide whiskies they used to sip. We were very appreciated with their comments and invited them to visit our distillery at an appropriate time.

Mr. Peter’s Passion

In Wellington, New Zealand, while I was running my bakery n café, my early age passion reemerged as I and my friends always went out to try the different taste of whiskey that each bar and restaurant has on the shelve. After many trials and error (drunk time), what dawn on me the most was nothing but The Straight Whiskey, a sip of it in my mouth, jiggled it a bit and swallowing ignited my passion even more. A distiller dream was carrying on to foreign land from New Zealand then Australia where I was lucky to meet Zolton Marton one of my return client/friend and regular customers to my bakery n café, there!! We had some nice and long hour chatting about whiskey, and kaboom!!! Zolton Marton owns a whiskey distillery that was when I felt with relieve” here’s come the grand master”. With Zolton Marton, I learned and practiced distilling whiskey and no doubt with tone of experiences, I gained a lot from him and thank to him, I can now distill whiskey in my home country and make my distiller dream come true, Holly Creek whiskey is not just the first straight whiskey that is being distilled in Cambodia but it is the result of commitment and effort along with passion that make every single drops a meaning Holly Creek Whiskey in which you can enjoy and be proud in any moment.
